Stayza feature guide

Live-video verification

Live-video verification lets a Stayza reviewer observe the property remotely with the host. It is the standard approval requirement; an approved physical inspection can satisfy the property-review requirement instead.

What happens on the call

The host shows the entrance, a listed room and a washroom or shared facility. The reviewer compares what is shown with the listing's photographs, description, claimed amenities and approximate location, and records the review outcome.

What the badge records

Video Verified records a passed review on a particular date. The video badge has a six-month validity period. Stayza keeps the reviewer's checklist and notes, not a video or audio recording of the call. Check the listing for its current badge and date.

The limits of remote observation

No representative is physically present during a video call. Only the conditions shown on camera can be observed, and they may change. A video review does not certify safety, ownership, licensing or future service quality. Stayza Inspected is a separate in-person check.

How to use it

  1. Owners submit their listing and complete identity review.
  2. A Stayza reviewer coordinates the call and checks the property against the listing.
  3. The reviewer records the outcome; approval requires a passed call or an approved physical inspection.

Common questions

Is a live-video call required for every approved listing?

A passed live-video review is the standard requirement, but an approved physical inspection can satisfy the property-review gate instead. Read the badge on the particular listing to see which check is recorded.

Is the verification call recorded?

No. Stayza retains the reviewer's checklist, notes and call date, not a video or audio recording.
