Stayza feature guide

Owner-confirmed availability and the 14-day freshness rule

Stayza displays availability reported by the owner together with how recently it was confirmed. A confirmation older than 14 days becomes unconfirmed, so an old update is not presented as current availability.

What the statuses mean

Owners can report available, limited or full for room-based accommodation. Single-unit properties use available or occupied/rented. Listing-wide status summarizes the room types: any available type makes the listing available; otherwise a limited type makes it limited; otherwise it is full. These are status reports, not exact live bed counts.

When availability expires

If the owner has not reconfirmed within 14 days, the listing shows that availability has not been confirmed recently. A full listing also becomes unconfirmed when its expected available-from date arrives or passes. An expected opening date never automatically becomes a confirmed available room.

How to use the confirmation date

Use recently confirmed availability to narrow your shortlist, then ask the owner about your intended room and move-in date. Someone else may have contacted the host since the update. Verification badges and availability confirmations describe different checks.

How to use it

  1. Read the listing's availability status and confirmation age.
  2. Treat an unconfirmed status as a reason to ask, not as available or full.
  3. Contact the owner for your room type and move-in date.

Common questions

Does availability refresh automatically after 14 days?

No. The old confirmation expires to unconfirmed. The owner must provide a fresh confirmation before it is shown as current again.

Is owner-confirmed availability a reservation?

No. It is a recent owner report. Confirm the specific room directly with the host before travelling or making arrangements.
