Stayza feature guide

Availability alerts when a spot opens

On a full listing with the alert option, sign in and choose Notify me when a spot opens. Stayza can send an email and an in-app notification after the owner marks the listing available or limited again.

How the notification works

The alert watches the listing's owner-confirmed status. A scheduled check looks for a fresh available or limited report and processes the notification. Alerts depend on the owner updating the status; they do not independently detect an empty room or promise instant delivery.

One alert for each watch

A watch is marked notified after an opening alert is processed. It does not keep emailing about every later change. You can stop an active alert using Stop alert or manage watched spots in your alerts dashboard. Email delivery also follows your notification preferences.

A waitlist notification is not a booking queue

Stayza's alert does not allocate a room, secure priority, reserve a place or guarantee availability by the time you respond. Contact the host after an alert and ask whether a suitable room is still open for your dates.

How to use it

  1. Open a full listing that offers Notify me when a spot opens.
  2. Sign in and enable the alert.
  3. After an opening notification, confirm the room directly with the host.

Common questions

Will an alert reserve a place for me?

No. It is a notification about an owner-reported opening. The host confirms any reservation or rental arrangement directly.

Can I cancel an availability alert?

Yes. Use Stop alert on the watched listing or remove the watch from your alerts dashboard.
